The NIA team continued its raid at the house of Gaya’s former MLC cum JDU leader Manorama Devi for 20 hours. The NIA team left the house after conducting the raid at around 12 midnight. After finding a large number of bundles of currency notes, the NIA team called for a note counting machine and two big boxes and took all the notes with them. After the NIA raid was over, JDU leader Manorama Devi came out of the house and met the journalists. She said that suddenly at 6:00 am, the NIA team officials arrived and started searching. We cooperated with them completely. She said that the money seized during the raid was taken as a loan from the bank, its complete account is there, the details of which will be given by our chartered accountant. Regarding the same weapons, he said that these weapons belong to our guards and we have the documents for them. He denied any kind of arrest. He said that we have fully cooperated with the NIA team in their investigation.

During the raid, a mobile was recovered from his house. The NIA had registered an FIR in Delhi. The NIA team took action on the basis of the recovered mobile.
