A speeding pickup van hit a father and son riding a bike on Ara-Sasaram State Highway in Bhojpur district. The accident was so severe that the father died on the spot. While the son is being treated at Ara Sadar Hospital. After receiving information about the incident, the police brought both of them from the spot to Ara Sadar Hospital. Where the father was declared dead after examination by the doctor. The incident took place in the early morning of Friday near Udvantnagar village of Udvantnagar police station area of the district.
Were going to take son for teacher recruitment exam
The deceased has been identified as Hiralal, 41-year-old son of Jai Kishun Ram, resident of Gausganj Mohalla of Town police station area. He was a teacher (employed) by profession. Presently he was working as the in-charge principal of the primary school located in Bampali village. While the injured is his son Rahul Kumar. Rahul Kumar told that his father was going to Sasaram with him on Friday morning to appear for the teacher recruitment examination conducted by BPSC. Rahul’s father was driving the bike to go to Sasaram.
Crushed by a speeding pickup coming from the opposite direction
Rahul told that after reaching Udwantnagar, he was crushed by a speeding pickup coming from the opposite direction. Due to which his father died on the spot. While Rahul got badly injured. After the incident, Ara was brought to Sadar Hospital by Bhojpur Police. Where the doctor declared his father Hiralal dead. The injured son is being treated at Ara Sadar Hospital. After the incident, Bhojpur police informed the relatives of the deceased. After receiving information about the incident, the family members of the deceased reached Ara Sadar Hospital. After which the police got the post-mortem of the body done at Ara Sadar Hospital. Family members said that the deceased was the youngest among his three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Lalita Devi and two daughters Shweta Swati and a son Rahul. After the incident, all the family members of the deceased are crying and in bad condition.
