Bihar: Breakfast and food provided to the patients being treated at DMCH in Darbhanga, Bihar may be stopped. The reason for this is that since February 23, the DMCH administration did not pay the organization providing food to the hospital. Kaveri Jeevika Sankul Level Association, which provides food, owes Rs 1.50 crore to DMCH.
The institution stopped providing milk to the patients for the last two days. At the same time, from Monday, the institution has also stopped giving biscuits to the patients. The Kaveri Jeevika Sankul Level Association has told the DMCH administration that if the payment is not made immediately, they will stop providing food to the patients.
Accountant Amit Kumar of Didi Ki Rasoi Sanstha told that Kaveri Jeevika is providing food and snacks to the patients in DMCH by taking loan from CLLF. Firstly, the payment could not be made due to non-signing of MoU with the health department of Patna. When the MoU is done, now the bill is not being signed by the DMCH administration.
In this regard, DMCH’s Deputy Superintendent Dr. Harendra Kumar told that we have nothing in our hands regarding the payment of this institution. Guidelines have been sought from the department for signing the bill. Till then the patients have been asked to continue providing food for a week. An order has been sought from the department, it will be signed as soon as it is received.
