Before the upcoming assembly elections, PM Narendra Modi has given a Diwali gift to the people of Bihar. Modi government has decided to widen the road (NH 139) going from Patna to West Champaran (Bettiah). For this, the Central Government has approved an amount of Rs 1712.33 crore. Due to this scheme, the journey of people going from Patna to Bettiah will become easier.

25 underpasses and one railway overbridge will be built

On Thursday, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had shared the information on social media. He had said that NH 139W will be widened. Its length is 44.65 kilometers. In this, widening will be done from Manikpur to Sahebganj. The Union Minister further said that this project will enhance high speed connectivity from Patna to Bettiah via the Buddhist Circuit. This will boost tourism and economic development in Vaishali, Muzaffarpur and surrounding districts. Under this project, a big bridge, three flyovers, 25 underpasses and a railway overbridge will be built.
