The murmur of laying the foundation stone of AIIMS in Shobhan Bypass of Darbhanga has started. At present, the Super Specialty Hospital, which has been built for many years, is also to be inaugurated in the DMCH campus. It is learned that the central team is going to reach Darbhanga on 12th February to schedule both the programmes. The team will inspect the super specialty hospital built in the DMCH campus in view of better medical arrangements. Besides, the process related to the foundation stone laying ceremony of AIIMS will also be taken forward.
PM Narendra Modi can lay the foundation stone of AIIMS
Sources say that the upcoming 15th February is being linked to the proposed Bihar campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the basis of the departmental report sent by the concerned team, the Prime Minister can inaugurate the Super Specialty Hospital and lay the foundation stone of AIIMS on 15th February. The department at the state level has been informed about this through a letter. The local district administration has also been told that the letter related to the time table will be received in the next few days. Information has been given by the district administration. Preparations are being made at the departmental level in view of the arrival of the Secretary of the Central Health Department in Darbhanga.
The new proposal was given to the Center on 7 December 2023
Actually, it was sent in December last year regarding the construction of AIIMS. The new proposal was earlier passed by the state government to build AIIMS in the DMCH hospital premises. But, after the changing political environment, the state government had given a new proposal to the Center on December 7, 2023 for the construction of Bihar’s second AIIMS in Shobhan Bypass. In view of the proposal, the state government had accepted the necessary conditions of the central government, after which an agreement has been reached with the central government and the state government regarding the construction of AIIMS.
