The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focusing completely on the development of railways. Instead of trains, stations have been targeted, so that if facilities are provided in a modern design, people will applaud. In this time’s plan, the focus on Shahabad, Mithila and Magadha region within Bihar is clearly visible. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described today as a historic day for Railways. He said that today at 12:30 pm, the country will get a gift worth thousands of crores of rupees, which includes many railways and infrastructure development projects.

PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate and dedicate to the nation about two thousand railway and infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 41,000 crore through video conferencing. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This includes 33 stations and 72 ROB, RUB, LHS of Bihar. The foundation stone of redevelopment of a total of 23 stations under the five divisions of East Central Railway at a cost of Rs 3029 crore and the inauguration of 29 ROBs and 50 RUB, LHS are going to be done by the Prime Minister. Out of 23 stations of East Central Railway, 21 stations in Bihar and 02 stations in Jharkhand are to be redeveloped. Similarly, out of 29 ROBs of East Central Railway, foundation stone of 27 is to be laid in Bihar.

Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, Virendra Kumar said that today is a historic day for the Railways. Through the newly constructed road over bridge and underpass, people will get the facility of barrier-free and safe road traffic and their time will be saved. Along with this, while on one hand there will be reduction in cost and time in transportation of goods to different areas, on the other hand reduction in carbon emissions will also help in environmental protection. Besides, quick and safe rail operations will be ensured.

Now know about these stations of Bihar

DDU Mandal- Foundation stone and inauguration of development works worth about Rs 715 crore will be done under Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Mandal (DDU Mandal). In this sequence, the foundation stone of development of eight stations – Dehri on Sone, Bikramganj, Piro, Rafiganj, Guraru, Nabinagar, Haider Nagar and Mohammadganj stations will be laid under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Besides, newly constructed 11 road over bridges and 18 RUB, LHS will be inaugurated. These include, under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Dehri on Son station at a cost of approximately Rs 16.12 crore, Bikramganj station at a cost of approximately Rs 12.25 crore, Piro station at a cost of approximately Rs 12.28 crore, Rafiganj station at a cost of approximately Rs 12.46 crore. Development work was done at Guraru station at a cost of about Rs 15.69 crore, at Nabinagar station at a cost of about Rs 11.22 crore, at Haider Nagar station at a cost of about Rs 12.95 crore and at Mohammadganj station at a cost of about Rs 12.95 crore. Danapur Mandal- Under this, the foundation stone of development works costing Rs 171 crore will be laid and inaugurated. The foundation stone for the development of Nawada, Lakhisarai and Chausa stations will be laid under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Besides, newly constructed 03 Road Over Bridges and 06 RUB, LHS will be inaugurated. Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, development work is proposed to be done at Nawada station at a cost of approximately Rs 21.54 crore, at Lakhisarai station at a cost of approximately Rs 12.81 crore and at Chausa station at a cost of approximately Rs 15.36 crore.

Sonpur Mandal- Under this, the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 616 crore will be laid and inaugurated. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the foundation stone will be laid for the redevelopment of Barauni, Kadhagola Road and Shahpur Patori stations. Also, newly constructed 02 road over bridges will be inaugurated. Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, redevelopment work is proposed to be done at Barauni station at a cost of approximately Rs 398 crore, at Kadhagola Road station at a cost of approximately Rs 15.52 crore and at Shahpur Patori station at a cost of approximately Rs 07.16 crore.

Samastipur division- The foundation stone of development works worth Rs 880 crore will be laid and inaugurated under Samastipur division. The foundation stone for redevelopment of 09 stations will be laid under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Besides, newly constructed 11 road over bridges and 08 RUB, LHS will be inaugurated. Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Laheriasarai station at a cost of Rs 15.19 crore, Janakpur station at a cost of Rs 11.32 crore, Ghorasahan station at a cost of Rs 11.89 crore, Raxaul station at a cost of Rs 13.96 crore, Chakia station at a cost of Rs 11.28 crore. Redevelopment work was done at Motipur station at a cost of Rs 12.87 crore, Simri Bakhtiyarpur station at a cost of Rs 14.55 crore, Supaul station at a cost of Rs 14.28 crore and Dauram Madhepura station at a cost of Rs 16.18 crore.
