Saurabh Kumar (10) is the son of Pintu Raut, resident of Kishanpur village of Belav Panchayat under Sheikhpursarai block of Sheikhpura district. This award will be presented to him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a program to be organized on Veer Balak Diwas at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 26 December 2024. Saurabh Kumar is a resident of Kishanpur village of Belav Panchayat located in Shekhopursarai block. This year, Saurav had risked his life and saved three children who were drowning in the pond of his village. For this work he will be honored with the Prime Minister’s National Bravery Award.

As soon as information about the bravery of boy Saurabh was received, on August 10, social worker Srinivas of the District Child Protection Unit called him to his office and rewarded and honored him. Also recommended his name for the Prime Minister National Brave Child Award. On the letter of Sweta Kaur, Assistant Director of the District Child Protection Unit, the then District Magistrate J Priyadarshini had also honored Saurav at the Jhanda Maidan on August 15. The result of the efforts of the District Child Protection Unit was that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will honor Saurabh on Brave Children’s Day.
