There is a tussle between Patna DM and KK Pathak regarding cold. DM of Patna says that in view of the weather, it is necessary to close the school for the children of class 1 to 8, while KK Pathak says that there is no need to close the school. In such a situation, a school child has died due to cold in Muzaffarpur. The deceased was Mohd Qurban, son of Mohd Islam, resident of Wajitpur Majhauli village, who was studying in 6th class.
I became ill as soon as I went to class.
The matter pertains to the upgraded middle school Ragho Majhauli, Bochahan where Mohammad Qurban studied. Local people say that after the prayers in the school were over, all the children went to their respective classes. After going to class, Qurban’s health started deteriorating due to cold. Seeing his poor health, the school teacher sent him home to wear woolen clothes. But even after going home, his health continued to deteriorate. His family members hurriedly took Qurban to Bochahan PHC where he died.
Teachers also admitted that death was due to frostbite
Regarding the incident, school teacher Mahendra Ram says that it was around 10.30 at that time. I saw that Mohammad Qurban was shivering with cold. Seeing him, I asked him to go home and wear a hat and other warm clothes. Qurban came home at the same time. Then it came to light that he died at around 2 o’clock due to frostbite.
what does dm say
Muzaffarpur DM did not say anything on the death of the child due to frost, but definitely said that in the current situation of cold wave and frost, instructions have been issued by the disaster management that in view of the frost situation, every possible heat should be taken. Stay in. Wear warm clothes and do not go out of the house if it is not necessary and if the need is urgent then go out wearing woolen clothes. The elderly and children are advised not to go out of the house as much as possible and take complete protection from cold.
