In Muzaffarpur, the surveillance team has caught a corrupt SI red handed while taking bribe. The accused SI Suman Jha is posted in Siwaipatti police station. In this regard, the police says that the surveillance department Patna team had received a secret information that the inspector was forcibly pressurizing a person to give bribe. After receiving the information, the team laid a trap, in which the surveillance team arrested Sub Inspector SI Suman Jha while taking bribe. At the time he was arrested, he was taking a bribe of ₹ 11 thousand. At present, the accused SI Suman Jha has been taken into custody by the surveillance department team. After this action taken late in the evening, the team took the accused inspector to Patna, where he will be interrogated. Accused SI Suman Jha has previously been the OP incharge of SKMCH Medical College.
Arrested for taking bribe on the road
In this case, the vigilance department official said that the complainant Pawan Kumar, a resident of Meenapur block area, was sent to Siwai Patti police station for investigation from the subdivision. Its investigation was to be done by Inspector Suman Jha. Suman Jha demanded 11 thousand rupees from the complainant for its investigation report and further action. Inspector Suman Jha said that the work will not be done until 11 thousand rupees are not given. This attitude continued for many days. Then, tired and frustrated, the complainant complained about this to Patna Vigilance Police Station. On 9 August 2024, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused SI in Patna Vigilance Bureau. After filing the complaint, the matter was investigated. The team found the complaint to be true in the investigation and then the accused was surrounded in a planned manner. The accused called the victim alone on the road near Bangarha Bazar in Siwai Patti police station area and demanded money. As per the plan, the team caught the accused Inspector Suman Jha red-handed.
