The water level of Ganga is continuously rising in Patna. Flood water has entered the Diara region as well as the urban areas. Flood like conditions have occurred in many houses near Digha. Many areas of Barh sub division have also been hit by floods, due to which the problems of the people have increased a lot. People are now forced to migrate.

Ganga is 2.05 cm above the danger mark in Samastipur

The Ganga river passing through Samastipur district has assumed a furious form. In Samastipur, the Ganga was flowing 2.05 cm above the danger mark on Thursday evening. Due to the continuous rise in the water level of the Ganga river, flood water has entered more than 25 villages of Mohanpur Mohiuddin Nagar and Vidyapati Nagar blocks. Road connectivity has been disrupted at many places. The situation of the villages of Mohanpur block remains serious, especially. Here, most of the villages of Dharni Patti Panchayat have lost contact with the district and block headquarters. People are commuting only with the help of boats. The situation has become serious in the Diara areas due to the flood in the Ganga river which has come again. A total of 39 primary and middle schools of these areas have been closed immediately.
