In Nalanda, miscreants who entered a teacher’s rented flat in broad daylight to steal, shot the landlord. The matter is of Badi Pahari locality under Laheri police station area of Bihar Sharif. Now the police is investigating the matter.

Landlord arrived after being seen on CCTV
Regarding the incident, tenant teacher Sachchidanand Prasad told that his flat was locked. The family had gone to see the Rajgir Mahotsav. Then after seeing some suspicious activities in the camera installed inside the room, he informed the landlord Prabhuchand about this. As soon as the landlord Prabhuchand got information about a thief in the house, he ran towards his house and saw that the miscreants were running away with the stolen goods. Seeing them running away, Prabhuchand started trying to catch the miscreants. Meanwhile, the miscreants attacked Prabhu Chand and opened fire on him. The bullet hit his arm and he got seriously injured and fell there. After that the miscreants riding the bike fled away on the motorcycle. Teacher Sachchidanand Prasad told that Rs 30 lakh including cash and jewelery was looted. Fearing being caught, the miscreants shot the landlord. Even while running, the miscreants kept firing about 3 rounds, due to which no one went near them out of fear.
Police engaged in investigation
Sadar DSP Nurul Haq told that Sachchidanand Prasad was in school and his family members had gone to visit the fair. Then the picture of some miscreants was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the house. After that he informed the landlord that thieves had entered the house. The landlord has a shop near Devi Sarai Chowk of Deepnagar police station area. He reached near his house from the shop. As soon as he reached the door, a person was coming down from upstairs, whom the landlord tried to catch. Seeing himself surrounded, the miscreant riding a bike opened fire on the landlord. The bullet passed touching his arm. He is being treated. At present, FSL team was called to the spot while CCTV footage installed nearby is also being scrutinized. The criminals will be caught soon.
