Railway officials along with the bomb disposal squad conducted a search operation throughout the night. However, the team did not find anything in this search operation. A railway police officer told on the condition of anonymity that the information about the recovery of the bomb turned out to be just a rumour.
Every nook and corner of the station was searched
If sources are to be believed, late on Monday night, information about the bombing of Patna Junction was received on the mobile phone of a railway official. As soon as the information was received, its information was given to the higher officials of the Railways. Railway officials along with bomb disposal squad, dog squad squad thoroughly searched the platform and every nook and corner of the station. Meanwhile, the areas and platforms around Patna Junction were put on high alert.

During this, the railway team ran a search operation from platform number one to 10 throughout the night, but nothing was found during this. An attempt was made to talk to several officials including Railway CPRO, PRO, Rail IG regarding this matter, but no one received the call. According to railway sources, after receiving information about the bomb, a search operation was conducted in the areas around the platform and railway station from 11:00 am to 3:00 am. He told that it seems to be just a rumour, which has been spread by some anti-social elements. On scrutiny of the phone call, it was found that it was a call made by a person from Madhepura. It is being verified. It may be mentioned that 8 days back Samastipur station was also threatened to be blown up with a similar bomb. However, even at that time the railway police was not worried about anything.
