Two friends who had gone to take bath in a river in Gaya died by drowning. After the incident, angry family members and villagers created a ruckus by blocking the road. Due to the road blockage, long queues of small and big vehicles were formed on the road. On getting information about the road blockage, Gaya police reached the spot and removed the blockage after convincing the people. After that, the police sent the bodies of both the youths to the hospital for post-mortem. The incident occurred in Roshanganj police station area. The deceased youths have been identified as Roshan Kumar (16) and Prakash Kumar (19), residents of Balasot village of Roshanganj police station.
Died after getting trapped in a pit created by sand mining
Regarding the incident, local people say that Roshan Kumar and Prakash Kumar had gone to take bath in Falgu river along with their two other friends. While bathing in the river, all the friends got stuck in a pit created by sand mining. Somehow two friends got out of the river, but two friends got stuck in the deep water, due to which Roshan and Prakash died by drowning. The other two friends reached the village and informed about their drowning. As soon as the information was received, a large number of villagers and relatives reached the spot and took out the bodies of both.
The family members blocked the road
After removing the dead bodies, the villagers created a ruckus by blocking the Sherghati-Imamganj main road for hours. During this time, long queues of vehicles were formed on the road. After getting the information, the police of Roshanganj police station reached there. The road blockade was removed by persuading the angry people who were blocking the road. After that, the bodies of both the dead youths were sent to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for postmortem. In this regard, Roshanganj police station in-charge Angad Chaudhary said that two youths died due to drowning while bathing in the river. The road blockade has been removed by persuading the people. Also, the police has started further action.
