In Munger, three friends riding a bike, who had gone out for a New Year outing, were crushed by an unknown vehicle, in which two died on the spot. The condition of the third youth is critical, who was referred to a higher centre. Among those who died, one was from Begusarai district, while the other was from Munger. The deceased were identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Subodh Kumar under Sahebpur Kamal police station area of Begusarai district and Rajneesh Kumar, son of Pappu Yadav, resident of Bahadurpur Simran Chaudhary Tola under Mufassil police station area of Munger district. In this incident, Sonu Kumar, son of Lalit Yadav, resident of Sahebpur Kamal police station area of Begusarai district, is seriously injured.
The three friends had gone out to celebrate the New Year
Regarding the incident, family members say that on Monday, Sonu Kumar was coming to Munger on his new Apache bike at around 5 pm on Monday evening to go out on New Year with Sunny Kumar and Rajneesh Kumar of the same village. As soon as the bike reached the middle of Shri Krishna Setu, an unknown vehicle coming from behind ran over the bike rider and ran away. In this incident, Sunny Kumar and Rajneesh Kumar died on the spot, while Sonu Kumar was seriously injured. The people present in and around that pool informed the police about the incident and admitted the injured Sonu to Munger Sadar Hospital for treatment. There the doctors gave first aid to Sonu and referred him to a higher center for better treatment.
Police engaged in investigation
On receiving information about the incident, the police of Mufassil police station reached the spot and sent both the bodies to the hospital. Family members told that the three youths were close friends and all three were avid students. The age of all three was between 18 and 20 years. As soon as information about the incident was received, the relatives of the deceased and injured from Mallipur and Bahadurnagar Simran Chaudhary Tola reached Sadar Hospital. The entire Sadar Hospital became inconsolable due to the screams of the family members. Regarding the incident, the police say that the police is investigating the incident. The vehicle in which the incident took place is being searched.
