Two youths died after being struck by lightning during heavy rains on Sunday afternoon in Bangalwa Bahiyar of Ladaiyatan police station area of Naxal-affected Dharhara block area of Munger district. While a thirteen-year-old boy also got burnt, who is being treated in a private clinic. In the incident, Roshan Yadav (22), son of Bangalwa resident Pramod Yadav, died on the spot. Meanwhile, Sakichan Yadav (17), son of Ranjit Yadav, who was badly burnt, was taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment in view of his critical condition. Where doctors declared him dead.
According to the information, Roshan Yadav and Sakichan Yadav were grazing cattle. Both were watching mobile phones with umbrellas in the field. Meanwhile, Roshan Yadav died on the spot due to lightning during the rain. While Sakichan Yadav, who was seriously injured due to lightning, was taken to Munger Hospital for proper treatment. Where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, Ajay Yadav’s son Ankit Kumar (13) who was injured due to lightning is being treated in a local private clinic. On receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it to Munger for postmortem. Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased are inconsolable after the incident. There is a mourning silence in the village after the incident.
