The first case is from Barev Bigha village of Pakribarawan block of Nawada. Where a young man died due to lightning during heavy rain. The family of the deceased is crying bitterly after getting information about the incident. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Rajesh Yadav, son of Bhagirath Yadav.
Rajesh Yadav was taking his pet animal when it started raining heavily. To save himself, Rajesh Yadav took support of a tree and sat under it. Rajesh Yadav died on the spot due to lightning during the heavy rain. When the local people saw Rajesh Yadav, his body was immediately picked up and taken to the hospital.
The second incident is from Mahkar village of Roh block. Where a woman died while working in the field. The deceased woman has been identified as 48-year-old Leela Devi, wife of Sudama Yadav. The deceased’s son Subhash Kumar said that my mother was plucking green gram in the field, when it started raining heavily and during this time my mother did not come out of the field and then my mother died in the field due to lightning.
As soon as the local people saw my mother, everyone immediately rushed to pick her up and admitted her to the government hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. As soon as the incident was reported, the Roh police took the body of the deceased into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
