A new twist has come in the case of the death of Riya, an intermediate student in Chhotki Ameya village of Kateya police station area of Gopalganj district, when Riya’s mother has filed an FIR against her two brothers-in-law for murdering Riya. Police after registering the FIR are continuously conducting raids to arrest the accused. In fact, on Sunday, the body of Riya, a resident of Chhotki Ameya village of Kateya police station area of Gopalganj district, was found hanging from a noose. On the first day, it was suspected to be a suicide. Now her mother has given an application in the police station on Monday and alleged that Riya’s elder father and uncle have murdered her.
Riya’s mother Vindhyavasini Devi has said in her application to the police station that her daughter Riya Tiwari alias Shagun was studying in Gorakhpur. On 10th September at 8 pm, brother-in-law Vijay Tiwari and brother-in-law Ajay Tiwari brought Riya to the village. Since then, the daughter was with them. On Saturday afternoon at 3 pm, Vijay Tiwari and Ajay Tiwari came to the house from somewhere. At that time, the door of the house was locked. The keys are with a person named Mahant Tiwari. Vijay Tiwari called Mahant. After this, Vijay and Ajay entered the house.
In the application, the mother has alleged that after going home, both her brother-in-law and her brother called her daughter to the verandah. Then they slapped her two-three times. After this, they took the daughter to the terrace and left. In a short while, she herself reached the terrace. When she peeped from above the door, she saw that Ajay Tiwari and Vijay Tiwari were hanging her daughter from the fan by tying a noose around her neck. When she made noise, Vijay Tiwari hit her on the head with something due to which she fell unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she saw that they had taken down the body of her daughter from the stairs, loaded it in the car and taken it away somewhere with the intention of making her disappear.
In this entire case, Kateya police station in-charge Abhishek Kumar said that an FIR has been registered on the basis of the application of the mother of the deceased girl. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The police is conducting raids to arrest the accused. The accused involved in the incident will be arrested very soon and sent to jail.
