Two people died in a road accident in Bhagalpur. After this incident, local people are creating ruckus by blocking the road. The incident took place on NH 80 located at English Farakka under Sabour police station area. Local people are vandalizing the place when they pass by the spot. Local people say that an uncontrolled truck crushed two youths riding a bike, in which two youths died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Gautam Tanti (24), son of Kalicharan Tanti, resident of Ghospur Farakka, and Sonu (27), son of Chunnilal Tanti. Local people informed the police of the local police station about the incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and a large number of police forces were deployed there.
Enraged people created a ruckus
Regarding the incident, the relatives of the deceased say that both the youth were coming from Lailak Mamlakha on bike. Then while overtaking, the truck crushed the youth riding the bike, due to which they died on the spot. Here, after getting information about the incident, the family members of the deceased reached the spot, nearby villagers gathered, left the body on the road and blocked 80 main roads, due to which the traffic was disrupted for hours. Some youths of the village created a ruckus. The angry people also fired sticks at people and vehicles passing by. The glasses of some vehicles were also broken.
Police calmed down the matter
On receiving information about the incident, a large number of police forces including Sabaur police station in-charge Vivek Jaiswal reached the spot and started trying to understand the people. But the angry villagers were not ready to listen to anything from the police. Angered by the incident, people started blocking the road and demanding the calling of the accused driver. The police, with great effort, pacified the villagers by convincing them and allowed the traffic to resume. At present the situation is normal.
