But, meanwhile, the people of the village with 671 voting are more troubled. They have to go by another route to get out of the village. All the villagers have also informed the district administration and leaders about the matter but no hearing has taken place. After which now the villagers have said that they will boycott the Lok Sabha elections by not voting in it.

Booth number 124 has been set up in the community hall of Mokamchak village. There are a total of 671 voters at the said booth. But, due to the absence of a road and school, not a single voter has voted.

On receiving the information of boycott of voting, senior officials of the district administration and police administration reached the polling centre. They remained gathered near the polling centre in front of the officials present and kept shouting slogans of ‘No road, no vote’. Even after the officials tried to convince them, the villagers did not listen. Seeing the protest of the villagers, all the officials returned to their homes.
