A teacher who had come to take training in DIET in Darbhanga died due to heat stroke. The incident took place in the teaching training DIET of Nagar police station area. The deceased was identified as Manoj Kumar, a teacher of Uchal Madhya Vidyalaya of Basopatti block area of Madhubani district. Principal Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary confirmed the death of the teacher.
Registration work for training was going on
Regarding the incident, Principal Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary said that 120 teachers of Madhubani district were going to be given basic literacy and competency knowledge (FLN) from today. In this, registration for training of teachers from Madhubani district was going on. At that time all the teachers present were standing in a line and getting registered. During this, Manoj Kumar suddenly felt dizzy and fell in the sun. In a hurry, his colleagues present there took him to DMDH, where doctors declared him dead. On receiving the information of the incident, the police of Laheriyasarai police station also reached the hospital and sent the body for post-mortem.
Teachers allege mismanagement
Teacher Mohd Rafiuddin, who is undergoing training, said that no concrete arrangements have been made for the people undergoing training here. Despite such scorching heat, no drinking water has been arranged for the people and neither is there a fan arrangement in the training room. We are being trained amidst great mismanagement. In this regard, DIET Principal Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary said that from today to June 8, FLN training of 120 teachers of Madhubani district was being done. The registration work for this was going on, when suddenly teacher Manoj Kumar fell and died. However, the teachers present there have accused of negligence.
