In Kishanganj, Bihar, a woman has given birth to five girls simultaneously. The weight is just one kilogram but everyone is healthy. The doctor conducted a normal delivery of the woman. One by one five girls were born. This shocking case is of Jal Milik village under Kanakpur Panchayat of Thakurganj block of the district. The doctors and all the hospital staff were surprised to see the girls being born one after the other.
The doctor did an ultrasound and told that there were four children in the stomach.
Family members say that 27 year old Tahera Begum has a three year old son. Now she was wishing for another child. She wanted to have a daughter. Tahera Begum said that when I was two months pregnant, the doctor had done an ultrasound and told that there were four children in the stomach. I got scared. However, the doctor assured me that there was nothing to fear.
Such a case occurs once in five lakh 71 lakh deliveries.
Family members said that after suffering labor pain, she was admitted to a private nursing home in nearby Islampur. The doctor delivered five girls each. Everyone was surprised to see the fifth girl. Doctor Farzana of the nursing home says that such a case occurs once in five lakh 71 lakh deliveries. Till now, news of delivery of four children had come to light at some places. But, I am seeing the case of delivery of quintuplets for the first time. For the first time, I have delivered five children simultaneously. The doctor said that all the girls are absolutely healthy. He is underweight and is being continuously monitored. His mother is also healthy.
