In Samastipur, a woman tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of an express train. The incident took place near Bhola Talkies Railway Gumti number 53A. The woman is Shobha Devi, wife of Avinash Jha, a resident of Silaut village of Mufassil police station area. She lived in a rented house near Azad Chowk. Local people told that Shobha Devi jumped in front of the express train going from Barauni to Gwalior on Saturday night. As soon as she fell in front of the train, Shobha came in the middle of the railway track. Seeing her jumping in front of the train, people around there started shouting. The train driver also stopped the train, after which people took the woman out. Everyone was happy to see the woman safe. Then the woman was taken to Sadar Hospital.
She was in depression due to her daughter’s death two months ago
Shobha’s husband Avinash reached Sadar Hospital as soon as he got information about the incident. He told that his daughter had died two months ago. After this, his wife Shobha was always sad and kept talking about going to her daughter. She left the house in the evening when he was not at home. Later it was known that she tried to commit suicide by coming under a train.
She had left the house planning to commit suicide
Shobha’s husband Avinash Kumar told that she had left the house with the intention of committing suicide. She had also written her mother’s mobile number on a piece of paper in her blouse so that if people call on this number after her death, her body can be identified and her body can be delivered to her family. When people were asking about her in Sadar Hospital in an injured state, the woman took out a piece of paper with her mobile number written on it from her blouse and gave it to the people. After this, the health worker called the woman’s mother and informed her about the incident. On receiving the information, the woman’s mother and her husband also reached Sadar Hospital.
Local people pulled him out from under the railway track
Seeing the woman alive, the people around immediately pulled her out from under the railway track and got the passengers sitting in an auto down and took her to Sadar Hospital. After reaching the hospital, the condition of the woman had become critical and she had a very deep head injury. However, during this time the woman was repeatedly saying that she did not want to live and she wanted to go to her daughter.
