A newly married woman was murdered in Jaidevpatti village of Ghanshyampur police station area of Darbhanga. He got married only eight months ago. The parents allege that the in-laws murdered her because bullets were not given as dowry. After this they burnt the dead body and ran away. When we got the information after a few days, we were stunned. After this, husband along with mother-in-law and father-in-law have been made accused in Ghanshyampur police station. It is said that Tanu Kumari, daughter of Nunu Jha, resident of Banki village, Madhepur village of Madhubani district, was married with great pomp to Rahul Jha, second son of Baua Jha, resident of Jaidevpatti, Ghanshyampur of Darbhanga district, on 18 February this year.
Everyone locked the house and ran away
Nunu Jha, father of the deceased bride, told that after a few days of marriage, the girl started being harassed in various ways by her in-laws. Tun had told that his in-laws were demanding a Bullet bike and Rs 2.5 lakh. Regarding this, we tried to resolve the matter by talking to the son-in-law and his father. But, when the matter could not be resolved, he took his daughter with him and went home. But meanwhile Rahul Jha came home on November 9 and bid farewell to Anu and took her to his home. Here he was murdered and the body was burnt and everyone locked the house and ran away.
Confirmation of burning near brick kiln
Ghanshyampur police station incharge Ajit Kumar said that on the basis of the application received from the victim’s side, an FIR has been lodged against mother-in-law Sudhira Devi, Gotani Pallavi Devi, Soni Devi. The case is being investigated. He told that at present the people of the accused side are said to be absconding after locking their houses. It has been confirmed that the body was burnt near a brick kiln.
