Here, as soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating. The incident took place in Kastoli village of Mansoorchak police station area. The deceased woman has been identified as Indu Devi, wife of Dinesh Kumar Mahato, a resident of Kastoli village.
Criminals came to shoot me
The deceased woman’s husband Dinesh Kumar Mahato said that late Sunday night I was sleeping with my wife on the verandah of the house. It started getting a little cold due to the rain, so I went to sleep in my room. Suddenly I woke up to the sound of a gunshot. When I came out and looked, I was shocked. The criminals killed my wife and fled. He said that due to a land dispute, the criminals came to shoot me. But, I had gone to the room. That’s why my wife was killed.
There was a dispute going on with the village bully
Dinesh Kumar said that there was a land dispute going on with a strongman living in the village. Due to this land dispute, the criminals shot my wife dead. At present, after this murder, there is an atmosphere of terror in the area. Here, the police of Mansoorchak police station reached and took the body in their possession and sent it to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for postmortem and is engaged in further action. Mansoorchak police station chief has told that a case of shooting a woman to death has come to light. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the whole matter. He told that the incident has been carried out due to land dispute. Some people are being questioned. Raids are being conducted in search of the criminals.
