A young man who was going to attend a wedding ceremony in Munger died in a road accident. The incident took place near Farda Sarvodaya Tola of Safiabad police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ajit Kumar (30), son of Nityanand Prasad Yadav, resident of Awas Road, Khagaria district. Ajit’s uncle Balmiki Yadav is injured in this incident. He is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Was going to wedding procession with uncle
Regarding the incident, family members say that Ajit Kumar was going to Mednichowki Devghara under Lakhisarai district with his uncle Balmiki Yadav to join the marriage procession. Meanwhile, uncle and nephew were getting down from the auto to meet their relative near Farda Sarvodaya Tola of Safiyasarai police station area. Meanwhile, there was a collision between an auto and an e-rickshaw. In this incident, the auto overturned on Ajit, due to which Ajit became unconscious due to serious injuries. His uncle Valmiki Yadav was seriously injured.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as the incident took place, the local people present there hurriedly took the uncle and nephew to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared Ajit Kumar dead after examination. Valmiki Yadav is being admitted and treated. On receiving information about the incident, family members from Farda and Khagaria reached Sadar Hospital. After this there was an outcry in the hospital premises. Family members said that deceased Ajit was the third among four siblings. Kotwali police reached the hospital and are engaged in investigation and post mortem of the dead body. Regarding the incident, Safiabad police station incharge Amarendra Kumar said that auto and e-rickshaw have been seized from the incident site. At present the driver is absconding and the police is taking further action.
