A young man died on the spot in a horrific collision between two bikes on Kunauli-Nirmali Main Road cum Kosi Western Embankment near Nirmali Sub-Divisional Office of Supaul late Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as Chandrakant Kamat, 25, son of Santosh Kamat, resident of Kadamaha Dhavghat under Nadi police station area of Supaul. On receiving information about the incident, there was an outcry among the family members who reached the sub-divisional hospital, Nirmali. The deceased’s cousin Ranjit Kamat and other family members told that Chandrakant was returning to his home in Kadamaha after dropping his elder sister from her in-laws house in Dagmara village.

Meanwhile, near the sub-divisional office Nirmali, a speeding bike hit him hard from the front. The collision was so strong that the young man died on the spot. However, with the help of local people, he was considered seriously injured and was taken to Sub-Divisional Hospital, Nirmali. Where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The police of Nirmali police station reached the spot after receiving the information and started the process of seizing the body and sending it for post-mortem.
Had gone to drop off sister after Shraddha rites
It is being told that after the death of the deceased’s grandfather, his elder sister had come to the village. After the completion of grandfather’s last rites and Shraddha rituals, Chandrakant had gone to take his elder sister to her in-laws’ house. Family members told that the deceased was married in March this year in Gidrahi village of Andhramath police station area of Madhubani district. After the incident, there is chaos among the family members including the wife of the deceased. Here, SI Vijay Kumar Paswan of Nirmali police station said that a youth has died in a road accident. Nirmali police station incharge Siyawar Mandal said that after the accident, the driver of the other bike left the vehicle and ran away. The bike has been confiscated. Necessary procedures are being done to send the body for post-mortem.
