On Monday morning in Bihar’s Jamui, a woman cleaning the house got electrocuted. After this, her husband who went to save her died on the spot. The case pertains to Jhajha Railway Colony in the district. The deceased has been identified as Pawan Kumar (40), an MCM employee working at Jhajha Railway MEMU car shed.

According to the information, Pawan Kumar was sleeping in his government residence Railway Colony residence number 276 on Monday morning. At that time his wife Pooja Kumari was cleaning the house. Then she started trying to open the iron gate of the house. She started crying after coming under the grip of electric current flowing in her. Hearing the voice, Pawan Kumar reached and saved his wife from the grip of current. But Pawan himself got electrocuted and got burnt badly.

After this the neighbors took him to Jhajha Referral Hospital for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead after investigation. After the information about the incident, there was a crowd of railway employees to see it. On getting information about the incident, Jhajha police station reached the spot, took the dead body in their possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Also got involved in the investigation of the case.

Pooja Kumari, the wife of the deceased, told that there was electric current in her colony for many days. Many times its complaint was reported to JE Anil Kumar of Railway Power House regarding this. But in spite of that he was not rectified. Her husband died due to this negligence. The victim has demanded to investigate the entire matter and take action.

While JE Anil Kumar told that no complaint was made by the victim’s family. Now the complaint is made online and it is also resolved immediately. If a complaint is made by anyone, it is resolved quickly.
