A female patient, who went for sinus treatment at a hospital in Bihar’s Darbhanga district, lost vision in her left eye after an operation. This case pertains to Panna Euro and ENT Hospital located at Benta in the district. After this, the relatives of the patient created a ruckus in the hospital. In fact, Seema Rai alias Rekha Devi (52), a resident of Behat village under Jhanjharpur police station area of ​​Madhubani district, was admitted by her brother Arun Kumar Rai to Panna Euro and ENT Hospital on November 19 for a nasal sinus operation. Before recruitment, Dr. Mona Saraogi had got all kinds of tests done. After that the doctor said that the patient’s right nose will be operated, because the nose is filled with flesh.

Arun Kumar Rai told that after the advice of the doctor, we got ready for the operation. After this, Dr. Mona Saraogi operated on his sister’s nose. He said that since the operation, my widowed sister has lost her vision in the left eye. At the same time, Arun said that his sister has gone into depression due to loss of eyesight. He said that his sister used to somehow earn her livelihood by doing sewing and embroidery. In such a situation, loss of vision in one eye due to the negligence of the doctor is a mess of his life. He said that he has complained about this in the police station.

According to medical science, there is a possibility of loss of eyesight. At the same time, the doctor said that before the operation, this information was given to the patient and his family. He said that after the operation, when the patient lost vision in one eye, we immediately got the patient checked by an eye specialist. During the checkup, it was found that there is no problem in the eye. Eyesight will come back in 15 days. At the same time, he said that the hospital itself is bearing the cost of the treatment.
