On May 20, in Jaale area of Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency, four people including three fake women voters were arrested by the police from the booth itself on the charge of trying to cast fake vote by wearing a burqa. After this, the villagers attacked the Jaale police station and chased away the four people. The police have sent four accused to jail in this case. Now the politics has intensified in this matter. Earlier, former BJP minister Jivesh Kumar and Madhubani MP Ashok Kumar Yadav had demanded a ban on voting wearing a burqa. On Sunday night, independent candidate from Purnia Lok Sabha constituency and Congress leader Pappu Yadav reached the houses of the people who were arrested. He met their family members.

Pappu Yadav said that the arrested people are being treated like terrorists. The entire village is in panic due to fear of the police. He said that the police should take just action. Arresting people forcibly in the middle of the night is not justifiable. Not only this, Pappu Yadav also attacked RJD candidate Ali Ashraf Fatmi. He said that their only motive is to take votes of Muslims. It is sad that we are not standing with them in their grief today.

He also took a dig at Tejashwi

Pappu Yadav said that RJD is only interested in Muslim votes. The RJD candidate here, Ali Ashraf Fatmi, did not visit the victim’s family even once. Just like the big leaders of RJD did not visit Chhapra, they did not come here either. Taking a jibe at Tejashwi, he said that if he had landed the helicopter here at least once, people would have got relief.

Gave open challenge to BJP MLA

Pappu Yadav also openly challenged the local BJP MLA. He got angry at BJP MLA Jivesh Mishra and said that the atmosphere of fear that has been created will not work. If needed, I will sit in the village itself. If you have the strength and capability, come and fight. Stop this kind of oppression. Don’t show off your power. Stop being dictatorial on people like this.
