A cleanliness fair was organized by Patna Municipal Corporation in Maurya Lok Complex. During this, a cleanliness awareness campaign of Patna Municipal Corporation was run. In the program, the brand ambassador of this campaign and famous folk singer Neetu Kumari Navgeet appealed to the people to discharge their responsibilities to make Patna clean and beautiful.
He said that the Nagar Nigam has started a campaign to collect wet and dry waste separately. All the citizens should contribute to this campaign. He said that the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi also considered cleanliness as worship. He used to say that cleanliness is next to divinity. People can also be motivated so that it helps in separating the waste and it becomes easier to make Patna clean so that people get into the habit of separating waste. City Manager, Cleaning Inspector, Supervisor and Nagar Nigam team were present to make this campaign successful.
Entertained the people by singing traditional folk songs
In the programme, folk singer Neetu Navgeet entertained the people by singing many traditional folk songs of Bihar and also gave the message of cleanliness. Through songs like Sabse bada hai gahna saaf rehna, O bhaiya saaf rehna, O behna saaf rehna and apna desh mahaan hai cleanliness is its identity hai, she inspired people to become partners in the Swachh Bharat, Swachh Patna Abhiyan. Rajesh Kesari also sang many songs in the programme, while Ladli Pandey, Divya Shri, Pankaj, Chandan Kumar played important roles as supporting chorus artists. Amar Thakur accompanied the singers on dholak, Pintu Kumar on pad and Sanjay Mishra on Casio.
