Popular Front of India (PFI) mastermind Yakub Khan alias Sultan was arrested by the Bihar Police. ATS team raided with the help of Motihari police and arrested him from a madrasa in North Govandra village of Chakia police station area. Yakub Khan is absconding since last one year. ATS team had received secret information that he was hiding in the madrasa. He was arrested after raiding it. The team took him to Patna. If sources are to be believed, Yakub was hiding in Nepal. He used to change his location from time to time. During interrogation, it has been revealed that Yakub was active in Bihar, UP and MP. Wanted to raise a new cadre here.
According to the police, several investigative agencies including NIA, ATS were looking for Yakub. For the first time its name came in the Phulwari Sharif case, after that it was found in the investigation that it used to run a training camp in Chakia. After this, all the investigating agencies were looking for him. Meanwhile, ATS got secret information that Yakub has come to Chakia. As soon as the information was received, the ATS team met Motihari SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra last night. After this, a raid was conducted along with Chakia Police Station President Dhananjay Kumar from where Yakub was arrested. The investigating agency is interrogating the arrested PFI member Yakub by keeping him in a secret place.
Controversial statement was made on Shaligram from Nepal to Ayodhya
He made a controversial comment by making a video of Shaligram going from Nepal to Ban Rai temple in Ayodhya, UP. After this, the search for Yakub by the investigating agencies intensified. But, he was always absconding by dodging the police team, but this time he has got into the hands of ATS and Chakia police.
Earlier Irshad and Mumtaz were arrested by the special team
It is said that the operation to arrest Yakub Khan was carried out by Bihar ATS Chief MR. Walked under the direction of the hero. On 17 February 2023, the NIA wrote a letter to the Bihar Police Headquarters. Requested the arrest of 6 accused (Rayaz Marif, Yakub Khan, Irshat Alam, Mumtaz Ansari, Afroz, Nazar Alam) related to PFI’s Phulwarisharif case. In police interrogation, Yakub has given important information about some other wanted members. On its trail, the investigating agency may soon arrest another hardcore. The special team arrested Irshad from Mehsi in East Champaran and Mumtaz Ansari from Tamil Nadu after running the operation.
