When a village girl went missing, a woman was accused of being a witch. After people made allegations, the police also did the same thing that a mob making allegations would have done. At night the police arrested the woman and brought her to the police station and beat her severely throughout the night. Family members say that the marks on the body are proof of how the police has shown its dominance over the woman. But ‘Amar Ujala’ cannot show the picture which is proof of police brutality.

Regarding the incident, family members say that the daughter of Ruby Devi K Gotni, wife of Dhananjay Sao of Daniyawan village, suddenly disappeared while playing on Monday. On the allegations of her family members, the police arrested Ruby Devi and brought her to the police station. After this the police started wreaking havoc on Ruby Devi. The police did not try to find the girl, but did beat Ruby Devi severely. Despite Ruby Devi continuing to claim her innocence, the police kept her in jail and kept beating her throughout the night. Ruby Devi was accused of stealing the child and sacrificing it. Ruby Devi alleged that the police wanted to make her confess that she had kidnapped the girl and sacrificed her. But despite being beaten, Ruby Devi continued to claim herself innocent in this case. Then the police also beat Ruby Devi’s son and daughter-in-law fiercely.
