In Arrah, Bihar, criminals cut the ATM with a gas cutter and stole Rs 7 lakh. CCTV footage of this incident is going viral on social media, due to which Bhojpur Police is also being criticized. However, on this matter, SP says that due to the negligence of the bank, security alarm was not installed in this ATM, due to which no one could get information. The matter pertains to the State Bank’s ATM machine installed in Govind Market, located near Agiaon Mor in the market of Garhani police station area.
People raised questions on the working style of the police
The incident is being reported at 3:45 am on Saturday. At that time no one had any inkling of the incident. When the morning light came, the local people saw that the shutter of the ATM was raised. Then people informed the police. On receiving the information, Garhani police station incharge Priyanka Gupta and Charpokhari police station incharge Sanjay Singh reached the spot and opened the shutter of the ATM and saw that money had been taken out by cutting the ATM machine with a gas cutter. Although people say that the police does not do night patrolling properly, the result is that criminals kept cutting ATM machines with gas cutters and the police could not find out.
CCTV was damaged, yet the incident was captured in the hidden camera.
CCTV cameras were also installed in the ATM. But as soon as the criminals entered inside, they sprayed spray on the camera and damaged it. But there was a hidden camera installed on top of the ATM machine, which the criminals were not aware of. The entire incident was captured in that hidden camera.
