In Gaya district of Bihar, criminals kidnapped a 9th class student. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from the student’s father. But as soon as information about the incident was received, the police recovered the kidnappers including the abducted student from Hunterganj police station area of Chatra district of Jharkhand state in just eight hours. The kidnapped student is Happy (14), son of Surendra Prajapati, resident of Kendua village of Imamganj block under Naxal affected area (Lal area). After getting information about the case, Gaya police started investigation.
Kidnapped while going for tuition
Surendra Prajapati, father of kidnapped Happy Kumar, says that he left home at around 7 am on Thursday morning to study tuition. When he did not return home hours after the tuition ended, a search began for him. First of all the teacher teaching tuition was contacted. There the teacher told that Happy has not come today for tuition. After this, inquiry and investigation started regarding Happy among his friends and then in the entire village. But there was no trace of Happy anywhere.
Kidnappers called and demanded ransom of Rs 5 lakh
Surendra Prajapati, father of kidnapped Happy Kumar, told that even after a lot of searching, when Happy was not found anywhere, he got a call on his mobile. Happy was on the other end of that call. He told that we have been kidnapped. The kidnappers are demanding Rs 5 lakh. They are saying that they will leave only after paying the money. They are threatening to kill if the money is not given. Family members say that during the search, Happy’s book and copies were recovered near Ahar village. After that everyone got scared. Information about the incident was given to Imamganj police station. Also a report of kidnapping was lodged in the police station. He told that Happy is a student of 9th class and he studies in Raniganj High School, Imamganj.
