About five hundred Home Guard soldiers working at various places in Sitamarhi district of Bihar were bid farewell. On Sunday, 430 retiring Home Guard soldiers were bid farewell by dressing them in armbands and garlands. In this moment of farewell, the Home Guard jawans looked very emotional and thanked for the honor given by the senior officer. Actually, there were about 15 hundred home guard soldiers in the district, out of which about five hundred soldiers retired today i.e. on 31st December. All have retired from the post of volunteer home guards.

430 soldiers participated in the ceremony

According to the information, Home Guard DSP Gautam Kumar gathered all the Home Guard soldiers and organized a farewell ceremony. He said that everyone is human. No matter what position one holds, on the occasion of retirement he should be given a respectful farewell. He said that all the employees together organized this event with personal funds and bid farewell to everyone by paying respect to them. Commander Gautam Kumar said that some of the 500 home guards are outside. The remaining 430 soldiers were working in various police stations of Sitamarhi, liquor prohibition and other places, who were called and given a respectful farewell today.

Commander Gautam Kumar said that those soldiers who have worked continuously for 3,650 days will be given a retirement amount of Rs 1.50 lakh. At present, PF was also being deducted, they will get that money also. He said that due to the retirement of all these people, there will be problems in administrative security arrangements and work in the district. However, new restoration is also likely to happen soon. Hundreds of people including Home Guard Association President Rameshwar Singh, Vice President Dilip Kumar Paras Nath Mishra, Secretary Ram Sakal Singh, Mantosh Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Devendra Singh, Gautam Kumar and Shambhu Paswan were present on the occasion.
