Senior IPS officer of 1991 batch Vinay Kumar will take charge as DPP of Bihar today. His tenure will be for two years. Till now he was the DG of Bihar Bhawan Police Construction Department. He was on this post since December 30, 2021. If sources are to be believed, senior IPS Vinay Kumar had visited CM House a few months ago. There he met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar. It was learned that he had gone to talk about the dispute regarding a police station being built in Jhanjharpur. However, after that the market of speculation was hot. Then Nitish government had given the charge of DGP to senior IPS officer Alok Raj in 1989. It is being told that Bihar Government had sent a proposal in the name of Vinay Kumar to the Union Public Service Commission. After everything became clear, he was made DGP.
