People attacked Shubhankarpur TOP in Darbhanga alleging illegal recovery. Angry people entered the TOP and created a lot of nuisance. Goods damaged. They allege that TOP police unnecessarily harass us and make illegal recovery. On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received by the control room, the police of several police stations including the city police station reached the spot and pacified the matter. Local people say that this TOP was opened to provide security to the people of Bajitpur and Shubhankarpur villages. But, instead of providing security, the police collect money from the people in different ways.
Recovery from those returning home late at night
Victim Rahul Kumar told that most of the people living in this area are laborers and return home from work late at night. While returning, TOP police doing night patrolling stop them and make illegal recovery while torturing. In the past also such complaints have been made to the TOP in-charge. Necessary action was assured after investigation by the in-charge. No action has been taken till date. The same thing happened on Tuesday night. By stopping the common people, the police misbehaved with us.
Raids continue in search of miscreants
In this case Shubhankarpur TOP in-charge Akhilesh Kumar told that some miscreants came and ransacked our police station. Checking is done by the police regarding security during patrolling. If the local people have any problem with the police force here, they should come and complain to me. But, they did not say anything to me and started vandalizing directly by entering TOP. During this, the miscreants have removed the important documents kept in the office. Many valuables were also damaged. The police is probing the matter. Raids are being conducted in search of miscreants. Some suspects are being questioned. Further action is going on in the matter.
