In Bihar, the provision allowing government servants of Muslim religion to come to office one hour earlier in the month of Ramzan and leave the same time earlier will also be applicable in the biometric system. This order has been issued by the Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Government of Bihar. Under the government order issued on December 11, 2020, this provision was implemented with the intention of allowing government servants of Muslim religion to leave the office one hour earlier in the evening for the entire month of Ramadan.
Order to keep the order applicable in biometric as well
The order of December 2020 is to remain in force permanently in the month of Ramzan every year. After the implementation of the system of biometric attendance in August 2022, the month of Ramadan in 2023 will be between March 22 to April 21 (probable) and this order has been issued to implement the provision of one hour earlier in the biometric system as well. This order has been issued to clarify whether the computer in the biometric system will accept this provision or not.
Order will be applicable even on contract-outsourced
Regarding the order to come to office one hour before and leave office one hour before the scheduled time in the month of Ramzan, it has also been clarified that the provision will be applicable to permanent government servants employed on contract and servants working in government institutions-departments through outsources. Will also apply. Meaning, if their attendance is also being done through the biometric system, then the provisions applicable in the order of 2020 will be valid.
