All the children came out after bathing and Pawan also came out. But, he again went to the drain and started bathing. Then he started drowning in the deep water.

Two teenagers died due to drowning in two different police station areas in Nalanda on Saturday morning. The incident is from Islampur and Pawapuri OP police station area. The deceased have been identified as Ravi Roshan Kumar, 12 year old son of Subodh Sao, resident of Balmat Bigha of Islampur police station area and Pawan Kumar (13), son of Brijraj Bihari, resident of Ahdaha village of Pawapuri OP area.
Ravi’s body was taken out of the water
Ravi Roshan Kumar’s uncle Ravi Kumar told that Ravi Roshan had gone to the banks of the Jalwar river with his family for Gaura-Ganesh immersion on the occasion of Teej festival. While bathing in the river, Ravi Roshan Kumar’s younger brother started drowning. This caught the attention of the people around. After this, he was taken out of the water. Meanwhile, a search for Ravi Roshan began. When some people went home to inquire, Roshan was not found at home. After this, a search was conducted in the river, after which Ravi Roshan’s body was taken out of the water.
Pawan was taking bath with the children
Pawan Kumar’s uncle Nand Kumar told that Pawan was taking bath with the children of the village after immersion of Gaura-Gauri in Bahrain drain near the village. All the children came out after bathing and Pawan also came out. But, he again went to the drain and started bathing. Then he started drowning in the deep water. The children came home and informed. The villagers gathered and Pawan was taken out of the water and admitted to Pawapuri Medical College. Where he was declared dead by the doctor. Islampur police station chief Sanjeev Kumar and Pawapuri OP in-charge Narad Muni Singh told that on receiving the information of the incident, the police immediately reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The police have started further action by registering a UD case.
