The weather department has issued an alert of rain and thunderstorm in many districts of Bihar on Tuesday. In the next 48 hours, there is an alert of heavy rain at one or two places in the south central and south east districts including Patna. However, till now Bihar has received 50 percent less rain. According to the weather department, till now Bihar was supposed to receive 174.8 mm of rain but only 87.8 mm of rain has occurred. Patna has also received 77 percent less rain.

On Tuesday, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and thunderstorm in Patna, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Nalanda, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Gaya, Nawada, Banka, Bhagalpur, Munger, Sitamarhi, Jamui, Madhubani, Purnia, Katihar, Saharsa, Madhepura, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj. At the same time, an alert of light to moderate rain has been issued in Patna, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Jehanabad and Begusarai in the next one to three hours. During this time, the wind speed is expected to be 30 to 40 km per hour.
