An alert for rain and hailstorm has been issued for the next two days in many districts of Bihar including Patna. It is raining intermittently in many areas of South Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be moderate rain in most of the districts of Bihar including Patna for the next two days. There are chances of hailstorm in some areas including Patna, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Jamui, Nawada and Nalanda. The temperature has dropped due to rain in Bihar. Kishanganj has been the coldest district of Bihar in the last 24 hours. The temperature here has fallen to 14.5 degrees.
Rain alert issued in 20 districts including Patna
According to the Meteorological Department, pre-monsoon period lasts from March to May. During this period, there are chances of rain, thunder, lightning and hail. Due to the passing of cyclonic circulation or turf line, moisture has started coming from the Bay of Bengal. Due to this the weather changed. There are chances of thunder and hailstorm in the southern areas of Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in 20 districts including Patna.
Youth dies in thunderstorm at Patna airport
There was a loud explosion near Patna airport. When the echo of the explosion ended, people came to know that a young man working on the taxi runway under construction near the airport was badly injured by the lightning. Blood was coming out from his nose and ears. He was immediately admitted to Patna AIIMS, where he died during treatment. Regarding the incident, the Airport Police Station Head said that the deceased were residents of West Bengal. He was working as a supervisor in Vishal Construction Company for the last 15 years. The police station chief said that the construction work of a taxi runway is going on at some distance from the airport runway. It started raining on Tuesday afternoon. During this time suddenly a stone fell and he got hit by it due to which he got badly injured.
