Light to moderate rainfall was recorded at many places in Bihar during the last 24 hours. Let us tell you that according to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at some places in the northern part of the state, whereas light rainfall was recorded at one or two places in the southern part. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder at one or two places in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj districts of the state. Apart from this, hot and humid day is expected at one or two places in Jehanabad, Gaya district in the southern part of the state.

The weather department believes that the temperature of the south west Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad and Arwal districts of the state is likely to remain between 40 to 42 degrees, while the minimum temperature has been reported to be between 26 to 28 degrees. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad in the south central region is likely to remain between 40 to 42 degrees, while the minimum temperature has been reported to be between 26 to 28 degrees. At the same time, the maximum temperature in the north west, north central, north east and south east parts is likely to be 34 to 38 degrees, while the minimum temperature is reported to be 24 to 28 degrees.

Aurangabad experienced the highest temperature

During the last 24 hours, the maximum maximum temperature of 43.01 degrees Celsius was recorded in Aurangabad, while the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Motihari. The districts where the Meteorological Department recorded temperatures above 40 degrees during the last 24 hours are as follows: Dehri 40.4 degrees Celsius, Buxar 40.01 degrees, Bhojpur 40.8 degrees, Vaishali 41.01 degrees, Aurangabad 40.9 degrees, Arwal 40.5 degrees and Bikramganj 40.4 degrees Celsius. Whereas Patna 38.4 degrees, Gaya 41.2 degrees, Bhagalpur 37.4 degrees, Purnia 34.7 degrees, Valmiki Nagar 36.0 degrees, Muzaffarpur 34.8 degrees, Chhapra 37.6 degrees, Darbhanga 33.4 degrees, Supaul 34.2 degrees, Forbesganj 35.02 degrees, Madhubani 32.9 degrees, Motihari 37.01 degrees, Sheikhpura 39.4 degrees, Gopalganj 40.02 degrees, Jamui 39.4 degrees, Buxar 42.8 degrees, Bhojpur 41.7 degrees, Vaishali 39.4 degrees, Aurangabad 43.01 degrees, Begusarai 35.5 degrees, Banka 38.4 degrees, Katihar 34.01 degrees, Nawada 41.3 degrees, Harnaut 40.01 degrees, Araria 34.4 degrees, Jiradei recorded 40.02 degrees, Pusa 34.5 degrees, Kishanganj 32.5 degrees, Arwal 42.01 degrees, Bikramganj 42.01 degrees and Munger 39.02 degrees Celsius.

Araria received the highest rainfall

During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places in the northern parts of Bihar. Araria received 35.5 mm, Supaul 23.8 mm, Forbesganj 23.4 mm, Katihar 23.0 mm and Motihari 16.1 mm rainfall. The day temperature remained two to three degrees centigrade higher than normal i.e. above 40 degrees in the south central and western parts of Bihar. It remained below 40 degrees centigrade in the remaining parts. Hot and humid weather persisted in both these parts of Bihar and will continue to persist in the future as well. The eastern part of the northern boundary of the southwest monsoon is still stuck at Islampur in sub-Himalayan West Bengal. An east-west trough line nine kilometers above sea level is now going to West Bengal via Chakravarti Sanrakshan Jharkhand over north-west Madhya Pradesh. Currently, two types of winds are blowing in Bihar. Moist winds are coming from the Bay of Bengal in northern Bihar and western winds are coming in south Bihar. As a result, during the next 24 to 48 hours, light to moderate rain will occur in the Terai districts of North Bihar with thunderstorms and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph. Partly cloudy sky will prevail in South Bihar. Dust storms with strong winds are forecast at one or two places in the evening or morning.
