On the morning of Makar Sankranti, dense fog was seen in many districts including Patna and Muzaffarpur. Visibility was about 50 metres. A day earlier, the Meteorological Center had issued a yellow alert regarding dense fog in Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Buxar, Bhojpur, Chhapra, Siwan. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be sunshine in many parts of Bihar on January 14 and 15. There will be dense fog in western and north-central Bihar and normal or moderate fog in other districts.

Coldest in Banka and Rohtas

According to the Meteorological Centre, a new western disturbance may affect many parts of India from Tuesday night. Due to this, the cold may increase once again from January 16. Banka experienced the maximum cold in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 9.1 degrees. After this, the minimum temperature of Rohtas was recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius and that of West Champaran at 9.6 degrees Celsius. Whereas the minimum temperature of Jamui and Motihari was recorded at 10 degrees, Arwal at 10.1 degrees, Kishanganj at 10.3 degrees, Siwan at 10.6 degrees and Patna at 13.2 degrees.

Fog affects these trains too

The effect of fog was also visible on the traffic system on Tuesday morning. New Delhi Islampur Magadh Express train is late by about three and a half hours. New Delhi Rajendra Nagar Sampoorna Kranti Express train is also late. Apart from this, Shramjeevi Express was running late by about two and a half hours and Danapur-Sahebganj Intercity train was running late by four hours.
