Cold wave is going on in many districts of Bihar. The weather department has declared a cold day in many areas. It has been extremely cold in Patna also. The situation is expected to remain the same for the next three days. In view of this, DM has declared holiday in schools (up to class eight) on January 20, i.e. today, in most of the districts of Bihar. In view of the condition of the cold wave and the fear of further damage, orders have been given to close schools. At the same time, instructions have been issued to conduct classes of class nine and above from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Earlier, orders were given to keep schools closed in Patna till January 16. However, many big schools including Saint Michael of Patna have come in online mode from today.

On Tuesday afternoon, DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh issued an order asking schools to remain closed till January 20. In Gaya, orders have been issued to keep schools closed till January 19. In view of the severe cold in Gopalganj, the District Magistrate has ordered the schools up to class eight to be completely closed till January 18. Here, parents say that it would be better if schools remain closed for the next four-five days. There is a problem in sending children to school on cold days. There is a risk of children’s health deteriorating in the cold.

Orders were given to close schools in these districts

Let us tell you that the DM of Patna had issued an order on January 12 regarding the closure of the school. In this, orders were given to keep the schools closed till 16 January. Along with this, similar orders were also issued in many other districts. However, the District Magistrates of many districts remained relaxed after knowing the cold conditions and the news of illness and death. Apart from Patna, orders for closure of schools were issued in Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Vaishali, Munger, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Nalanda and Madhubani districts. In Patna, Darbhanga, Siwan, Nalanda and Munger, studies in schools till class 8th will be started from 13th January to 16th January. closure order issued it was done. In these districts, the remaining classes above will run from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Here, after extending the period of closure of Patna and Gaya schools, now such orders can be issued in other districts.
