Cold has once again started changing its mood due to rain and snowfall in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain and hailstorm in many districts including Patna. The effect of this is that people are feeling cold once again. Light rain is being seen in many parts of the state including Patna since Monday morning. Light to moderate rain has increased the cold. The Meteorological Department believes that the rain is likely to continue for the next three days.

Warning of rain with strong wind in Bihar

The weather in North India has once again changed its course. People’s life has once again been affected due to snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plains. People from Delhi-NCR to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar are troubled by the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, this change is being seen in the weather across the country due to western disturbance. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain with strong wind in many parts of Bihar. The department believes that there are chances of thunderstorm along with strong wind in Bihar. Not only this, hailstorm has also been predicted. According to weather forecast Skymet, jet stream winds are blowing up to 140 knots over North India at 12.6 km above sea level.

Yellow alert of rain issued in these districts

Along with the capital Patna, the Meteorological Department has issued warnings to East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Buxar, Bhojpur, Begusarai, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai. Yellow alert of thunderstorm and rain has been issued in Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya and Nawada. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to heavy rain in many parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. There may be light rain in some parts of Punjab, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. There is a possibility of light to very light rain at one or two places in Kerala. According to IMD forecast, there are chances of rain in Patna till 6th and 7th February.

Chances of drop in temperature due to cold wind

Western disturbance is active in North India. Due to this, light rain is forecast in many districts of the state including Patna. The weather is going to remain like this for the next three days. After February 6, the minimum temperature may drop due to cold winds. The minimum temperature in Patna will remain between 12 to 13 degrees Celsius from 4 to 6 February. At the same time, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 22 to 25 degrees Celsius. After this the minimum temperature will drop. After February 7, cold may increase again in the state. According to the IMD forecast, the minimum temperature will drop from February 7, while there will be fog on February 8 and 9.
