The heat wave continues in Bihar. The scorching sun is scorching people. The Meteorological Center has issued a red alert for severe heat in Patna, Jehanabad, Arwal, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Sheikhupura, Kaimur, Sasaram, Aurangabad, Nawada, Gaya, Bhojpur, Buxar. Orange alert has been issued with the possibility of heat wave at one or two places in the south-eastern parts of the state. Hot days are expected at one or two places in the north-western part of the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds at one or two places in the north-eastern parts of the state, whose speed is said to be 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

The weather department believes that the temperature of Patna, Gaya, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad in the south-central region and Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal districts in the south-western region is likely to remain between 42 and 44 degrees on Tuesday. Heat wave has been predicted in most of the districts of the southern parts till June 14. The weather is likely to intensify after June 15 and 16. The weather department believes that the common people should try to avoid sunstroke as much as possible. The weather department has said that children or pets should not be left inside the vehicle in the scorching sun. Along with this, the weather department has also suggested that if you feel sick or faint, consult a doctor immediately.

Motihari was the coldest city in the last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours in the state, the maximum temperature was recorded at 45.9 degrees Celsius in Buxar and Bhojpur while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius in Motihari. With this, the districts of Bihar that recorded temperatures above 40 degrees are Patna 41.7, Gaya 45.01, Bhagalpur 40.01, Chhapra 42.7, Dehri 45.6, Motihari 40.8, Sheikhpura 43.2, Gopalganj 42.9, Bikramganj 45.5, Jamui 42.02, Buxar 45.9, Bhojpur 45.9, Vaishali 42.4, Aurangabad 45.5, Banka 41.6, Nawada 44.9, Rajgir 44.7, Jiradei 44.5, Arwal 45.7, Munger 41.7 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the names of the districts which recorded below 40 degree Celsius are as follows. Purnia 35.3, Valmiki Nagar 37.6, Muzaffarpur 37.4, Darbhanga 38.4, Supaul 36.3, Forbesganj 35.4, Madhubani 37.8, Begusarai 39.01, Katihar 35.01, Araria 34.6, Pusa 36.8 and Kishanganj 32.2 degree Celsius.

The temperature was six degrees above normal

During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in one or two places of Kishanganj district of the state, while the weather of the remaining districts remained dry. Severe heat was recorded in Patna, Sheikhpura, Buxar, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Banka, Nawada, Rajgir, Arwal and Munger, while heat wave was recorded in Gaya and Jamui. The temperature of most districts of South Bihar remained four to six degrees Celsius above normal. According to today’s weather analysis, the northern boundary of the southwest monsoon remains in the sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Dry western wind flow is maintained in the lower troposphere in the state. Due to which severe heat wave will continue in most districts of South Bihar during the next three days. Hot days are forecast in the districts of the north-western part during the next two days. There is no forecast of any significant change in the maximum temperature of the state during the next three to four days.
