A staff member of Lalit Narayan Mithila University was murdered late on Tuesday night in Aunsi police station area of Darbhanga. Two criminals riding a bike surrounded him in front of a hotel near Khirma village and shot him six times. He was brought to DMCH in critical condition for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. There was a stir in the area after the incident. People from nearby areas gathered. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating.
I was going home from my in-laws house
The deceased has been identified as Lalbabu Yadav, son of Ramdev Yadav, resident of Hanuman Nagar Aunsi of Bisfi police station area of Madhubani district. He was going to his home Aunsi from his in-laws’ house Buchchaman in Darbhanga. During this, the criminals surrounded Lalbabu on his bike and fired six bullets at him. The deceased Lalit Narayan worked in Mithila University. After the incident, the family members are inconsolable.
There was a dispute over five acres of land
Regarding the incident, the deceased’s father Ramdev Yadav said that he had a dispute with his neighbour Ritesh Yadav over five dhoor of land. However, he had got the land measured and had also built a wall. But there was a dispute with Ritesh Yadav over the same and today he committed this incident. According to the police, the matter of murder is coming to the fore due to a dispute with the neighbour. Some people are being questioned. Further action is being taken in the case.
