BJP Candidates List 2024: In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP released the first list of its candidates on Saturday (2 March). 195 candidates have been announced in this list of BJP candidates. Along with the name of PM Narendra Modi, the name of one of his special commander Chandrakant Raghunath Patil (CR Patil) is also included in this list. CR Patil is the current MP from Navsari Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat.
CR Patil is currently an MP and also the President of Gujarat BJP. The credit for BJP’s historic victory in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections also goes to him. Patil, considered a member of Narendra Modi’s core team, has also taken the responsibility of PM Modi’s election in Varanasi for a long time.
Won by the biggest margin in the country
CR Patil also holds the record of winning the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by the highest margin of votes. PM Modi is also behind him in terms of winning the most votes in the country. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, CR Patil had secured 9,72,739 votes. He defeated his rival Congress candidate Dharmesh Patel by 6,89,688 votes.
Constable in Gujarat Police for 14 years
Born in 1955 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, CR Patil used to work as a constable in Gujarat Police before joining BJP. Before joining BJP, he also ran a cooperative bank. However, he could not succeed in running this bank. Patil served in Gujarat Police for 14 years and joined BJP in 1989.
Did a miracle in Navsari
Patil from Navsari for the first time in 2009 Lok Sabha Elections Reached Parliament after winning. It is believed that his name was proposed by the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi Had given it. After this, he also won from Navsari seat in 2014 and in 2019 he made a national record of achieving the biggest victory.
Got the responsibility of state president in 2020
In Gujarat, which is called an impregnable fort of BJP, CR Patil was given the command of the post of state president in 2020. Everyone became a fan of his organizational skills in BJP’s record-breaking victory in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections. There was speculation that the ticket of Patil, who is holding the post of Gujarat BJP President, may be cut. Actually, the principle of one person, one post applies in BJP, but the party put an end to all the speculations by making him a candidate again.
Name keeps coming in controversies
During the Corona period, there was a lot of uproar over the distribution of Remdesivir injection by CR Patil. Congress had made serious allegations against Patil regarding this that there was a shortage of injections and he stored it without a pharma license. This matter had reached the court. At present this matter is under consideration.
One of the rich leaders of BJP of Gujarat
CR Patil is included in the list of rich leaders of BJP in Gujarat. In the Parliament website he has been described as a farmer and businessman. According to the ADR report, Patil has assets worth more than Rs 44.6 crore. He also has a loan of about Rs 5.68 crore. His wife’s name is Ganga Patil. He has one son and three daughters.
