A case has been registered against three people including BJP councilor Ravi Diwakar in the dispute over the possession of a house in Lakshmipuram, Shahganj, Agra. The councilor is a history-sheeter of Shahganj police station. When BJP members reached in support of the councilor, the police assured action after collecting evidence.
Dheeraj Verma, resident of Laxmipuram, Shahganj has filed a case. He has alleged that on June 24, councilor Ravi Diwakar reached his residence with his 8-10 companions. Tenant Lallu Pandit had locked the door and left. The accused started breaking the lock. On getting the information, he reached the spot with his wife. They were beaten up. The accused took away the tenant’s belongings. His wife was injured in the assault.
They were threatened to be implicated in SC-ST case. Police arrived immediately on receiving the information. Dheeraj Verma and his wife appeared before DCP City Suraj Kumar Rai. They told that efforts are being made to occupy their house. DCP City inquired from Shahganj police station. It was found that Dheeraj Verma had bought the house from a person. The house belonged to Pushpalata. Pushpalata has passed away. Her sister is saying that the deed is wrong. She is claiming her right on the house. Councilor Ravi Diwakar had come with that party to occupy the house.
Investigation given to ACP
DCP City gave the investigation of the house dispute to ACP Loha Mandi Mayank Tiwari. He told the victim’s side that right now only the case of the incident that happened will be registered. Whose house is it? This will be decided after investigation. Police has registered a case under sections of rioting, assault, molestation, abuse and threat to kill. Ravi Diwakar, Pushpalata’s sister Lata Rani, Balraj Singh are named in the case and 8-10 unknown accused are there.
