BJP has started sharpening its preparations for the assembly elections. In this series, on Friday BJP formed a 23-member election steering committee. Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra has been made its coordinator. State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva is also in the committee. At the same time, Arvinder Singh Lovely, who had come from Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, along with party’s national level official Dushyant Gautam and MP Manoj Tiwari, were made co-convenors. Apart from Dr. Harsh Vardhan, no one among the former MPs has been given a place in the committee.
The committee will work to prepare the election strategy of BJP and implement it at the grassroots level. With this step, BJP has made it clear that it will enter the electoral fray with organized and wide participation. The committee included Virendra Sachdeva, Harsh Malhotra, Dushyant Gautam, Manoj Tiwari, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Vijendra Gupta, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Satish Upadhyay, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Yogendra Chandolia, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Praveen Khandelwal, Bansuri Swaraj, Raja Iqbal. Singh, Abhay Verma, Jai Prakash (JP), Dinesh Pratap Singh, Yogita Singh, Sunita Kangra, Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Rajiv Babbar and Sarita Tomar have got the place.
